Accommodation for the ADPAT-Asia Forum
Your accommodation will be arranged at the Siam City Hotel. The organizer will provide a single room per person for the duration of your official stay and payment will be made directly to the hotel. Please note that each person will be responsible for any other expenses, such as telephone calls, minibar, room upgrade, additional stay, additional guest and other room services, and must be paid directly when you checkout.
Kindly be advised that the check-in time at the Siam City Hotel is 14:00 and the check-out time is 12:00. For those participants whose departure time is before 7 p.m. on March 15, we encourage participants to check out from the hotel in the morning of March 15 and leave the luggage with the Bell Boy or alternatively bring the luggage with them to Kempinski and leave for the airport from Kempinski after the Forum. Kindly allow at least 4-5 hours before your flight time.
Transfer from Airport to Siam Kempinksi Hotel or Siam City Hotel
You are requested to arrange your own transportation from the airport to the hotel and vice-versa. Public taxis are available at the Passenger Terminal on the 1st Floor, Gates 4 and 7. You may want to print out the attached hotel map and address in Thai and show it to a taxi driver. The fare charged is according to the distance traveled plus a fee of 50 THB (2 USD) for the driver. The one-way fare from the airport to the both hotel would be approximately 400 THB (13 USD) and highway toll charges are additional, amounting to around 25 THB (1USD) each.

Located across the road from the hotel (5-min walk) is the Airport Rail Link Phayathai Station. From here commuters can reach the airport on the link’s SA City Line in 30 minutes (stopping at six stations) for 45 THB (2 USD). Alternatively, people can go two stops up the road to the larger Makkasan Station (BCAT) and from there check-in (3-12 hrs before flight. However, luggage-loading services remain limited to two airlines – Thai Airways International and Bangkok Airways) and take the SA Express Line for Baht 150 (flat fee) and a speedy 15 minutes. Transfer in between Siam Kempinski Hotel and Siam City Hotel
The distance between the Siam Kempinski Hotel and the Siam City Hotel is 3 km which takes 15 mins to drive (30 mins in rush hour time), 10 mins by BTS Sky Train and 25 mins to walk.
Both of the hotels are conveniently located right in front of the BTS stations, namely Siam BTS station for the Siam Kempinski Hotel and Phaya Thai BTS station for the Siam City Hotel. They are 2 stations apart and the fare is 25 THB (1 USD) per way. To find the BTS map, please see the attachment below. ADAPT Asia-Pacific Annual Forum Secretariat has arranged shuttle bus service to transport ADAPT Asia-Pacific 1st Annual Forum participants in between your accommodation, Siam City Hotel, and the meeting venue, Siam Kempinski Hotel. The bus will leave from the Siam City Hotel for the Siam Kempinski Hotel at 07:50 am on 14 and 15 March, and it will return to the Siam City Hotel at 17:30 on 14 March and at 14:00 on 15 March.
International breakfast buffet is included in the room charge for one person. Breakfast will be served in the Patummat restaurant. Breakfast is served from 05:30 to 10:00. This is not applicable for the participants who are staying in other hotels.

14 March : Morning/afternoon refreshments and International buffet lunch at Chadra room, Kempinski Hotel

Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA)
Participants will receive a lump sum amount based on their travel dates to cover 1) meals beyond those listed in the meal section above; 2) incidental expenses, such as telephone calls, internet usage, laundry, etc.; and 3) airport transfer cost. This lump sum amount or DSA will be distributed at different locations and time. DSA will be provided in Thai Baht. Please see details below. You are kindly recommended to collect your DSA at your earliest convenience.

In order to claim your DSA, please bring the following documents to Ms. Unchulee Lualon:
- Original boarding passes
- Completed Participant Information Form (if it has not been submitted to Forum Secretariat)
For reimbursement of any agreed items, please bring:
- Original invoice(s) indicating your name, services received, amount paid and currency
*Please be advised that the reimbursement will be made at Kempinski Hotel on 14-15 March after your submission of original receipts to the forum secretariat during 12-13 March. The reimbursement will be provided in USD.
Daily average temperature of Bangkok in March is minimum 25°C and the maximum 35°C.
Please note that the electrical appliances in Thailand operate on 220 Volts. You are advised to carry an adaptor.
Exchange facilities are available both at the Bangkok International Airport and at the reception of both hotels. Also Siam Paragon shopping center adjacent to the Siam Kempinski Hotel has many banks where you can exchange money. The current rate of exchange is around 1.00 USD to 30.00 THB.
1 use of wireless internet service per person is available in both Siam City Hotel and Siam Kempinski Hotel for the In-House guests. For the Non-House guests, there is an additional charge for wireless internet in Siam Kempinski Hotel at THB 600++ per user per day.
