For funded participants, the organiser has reserved a single room per person at either the Sheraton or Westin hotels for the duration of your stay. The payment will be made directly to the hotel by the organizer. Participants are responsible for any additional expenses incurred apart from the basic room charge.
Please note the following timings for both the Sheraton and Westin hotels:
Check-in: 15:00 (03:00pm)
Check-out: 11:00 (11:00am)
For those who require early check-in or late check-out, please consult directly with the hotel for the arrangement made according to your flight schedule. The organizer will not cover surcharges.

Airport Transfer

Public Taxi
Please arrange your own transportation from the airport to the hotel both ways. Pubic taxi is available from the airport taxi stand. The above hotels are well-known to any taxi driver. The fare charged will be approximately 30 FJD and it will take around 20 minutes to reach the hotel.
Hotel Taxi
Please contact the hotel directly if you wish to arrange your own airport pick-up and transfer provided by the hotel. The fare charged will be approximately 50 FJD.


Breakfast is included in the room charge and is served at the Feast Restaurant at the Sheraton and at the Ocean Terrace at the Westin. Please check with individuals hotels for breakfast timings.
Welcome Reception
All participants are cordially invited to the welcome reception starting at 5.30pm on Sunday, 2 June 2013 at the Sandy Point, Sheraton. The Sandy Point is located in front of the chapel on the beach, a minute walk from the Sheraton hotel lobby. If it rains, the reception will be held at the Grand Ballroom in Sheraton.
Recreational Activities
Aqua aerobic is organised for participants to encourage exercise before attending the meeting at the main swimming pool of the Sheraton Hotel at 7am on 3-4 June 2013. If you are interested, please contact Jessica Naevo <jessica.naevo@sheraton.com> by 2 June to enrol (space is limited to 20 people).

Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA)

To receive the DSA, funded participants are kindly requested to present their boarding pass and passport on Monday, 3 June 2013 (the first day of the meeting) at the Secretariat Room located next to the hotel reception, in front of the Grand Ballroom.
Funded participants are also kindly requested to follow the schedule below to receive their DSA:
Morning Tea (10:20-10:45): Cook Islands, Kiribati, Marshall Island and Micronesia
Lunch (12:30-13:30): Nauru, Niue, Palau and Papua New Guinea
Afternoon Tea (15:40-16:00): Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Tuvalu
After Day 1 meeting (17:15 onwards): Vanuatu and Asian countries
Please kindly note that any hotel expenses other than basic room charge (e.g. mini-bar, telephone calls, internet, in house movies, meals, laundry, etc.) must be settled by each participant.


The average temperature for the month of June in Nadi is 24°C with 25% chance of precipitation.


The current in Fiji is 240 volts AC 50Hz with three-pin power points - the same as in Australia and New Zealand.


As of 27 May, 1 Fijian Dollar is about 0.54 US Dollar. Money exchange facilities are available at the airport, Sheraton/Westin hotels and banks in the city. ANZ ATM is available at Sheraton and Westpac ATM at Westin.

Internet Access

Business Centre ‘Link’ in Sheraton will provide free wireless internet access to all hotel guests. Internet card can be purchased at FJD24.50 for 24 hours and used at the lobby, restaurants and hotel rooms in the Sheraton. The same fare will also be applied at Westin. Internet access will not be available in the meeting venue (Grand Ballroom) during the event.
